The Sandwich Children’s Center seeks an Office Manager
Are you good at QuickBooks or other accounting software, knowledgeable about early childhood administration, accounting, and nonprofit organizations? Do you enjoy working in an environment filled with happy children? If so, this may be the job for you! We are currently seeking an experienced office manager.
For over 35 years, SCC has been a cornerstone of the town of Sandwich and the surrounding communities. The Center strengthens families and communities by nurturing the development of the whole child through year-round, nature-based, high-quality early childhood education, after school enrichment, and infant care. SCC is a loving and vibrant hub of community life.
Qualifications: Must have knowledge of accounting software, such as QuickBooks, a basic understanding of Nonprofit organizations, early childhood administration, accounting and file keeping, both digital and paper. A bachelor or associates degree in finance, accounting or related field is desirable.
Core Responsibilities: The Office Manager (OM) is responsible for the overall management of financials, licensing requirements, and student and personnel file maintenance. This person also provides financial reports for the Board of Directors, attends Board Meetings, and assists Board committees as necessary. In conjunction with the Director, the OM maintains all personnel records, establishes classroom schedules and the yearly calendar. The OM also works with the Finance Committee and Treasurer in drafting budgets and overseeing accounts. Finally, the OM is responsible for accounts payable and receivables, prepares all year-end tax statements, assists in fundraising and grant proposals, and monitors enrollment and maintenance tasks.
Salary: Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and experience.
