              Sandwich Children's Center 9th Annual Auction

              Join us at the Corner House Inn in Center Sandwich for hors d'oeurvres, merriment and the chance to bid on an eclectic and impressive assortment of items and services, all while participating in Sandwich Children's Center's most important fundraiser. Silent auction begins at 5:30; live auction at 7:30. Tickets are $25 and are available at SCC. Additional donations welcome -- contact SCC at 284-7014. 



              After-school Activities and Workshops

              All workshops are one hour long beginning at 3:00 p.m, $5 or a donation to SCC.

              January

              All workshops begin at 3:00pm and are one hour long.

              Every Wednesday Lego Club
              The children will use their imaginations to create unique structures of their choice. 
              Each week they can decide to keep what they have going and build off of it or start a new design.


              Friday, January 13th Beading
              Designing bracelets, necklaces and key chains etc. It is all their choice. 
              We will have stations set up with various beads and they can pick & choose. 
              If they do not finish they can take their supplies home to finish them.


               Friday, January 20th Finger Knitting Workshop 
              The children will select their choice of yarn (or bring their own). 
              We will have a demonstration of how to do this fun activity. This is great for making a scarf for your doll, y
              ourself or for a gift for a friend!

               Friday, January 27th Collage Workshop 
              Various materials will be laid out on the tables and the children will then create pictures that represent themselves & their interests. 
              This is great for the children to really tune into themselves and be able to show that through their collage.

              February

              All workshops begin at 3:00pm and are one hour long.

              Game Tournaments
              Wednesdays, the 1st, 15th & 29th – Depending on the various interests of the children we will have all different games set up, such as Sorry, 
              Operation, Slamwich and more. The children will be able to rotate to different stations when they are done with one game to experience another.

              Lego Club Returns
              Wednesdays, the 8th & 22nd – Children can create unique structures and build off of them.

              Friday, February 3rd Crayon Magic Workshop 
              Children will be given a white piece of paper to color patterns, filling up the whole paper. Then they’ll cover it with black crayon. 
              After that they can scrape into it with paper clip, coin and other materials to make patterns and pictures.

              Friday, February 10th - Beading is back!

              Friday, February 17th – Sewing Sock Puppet Workshop

              Bring your own sock! Each child will select buttons, yarn & material for eyes, hair and clothes. 
              They will then learn how to sew them onto their sock and create their very own sock puppet.

              Friday, February 24th – Knitting


              Please bring your own knitting needles. The children will select their choice of yarn or may bring their own. We will be learning the basic steps to knit a scarf. 
              Materials and instructions will be sent home as well.

              March

              All workshops begin at 3:00pm and are one hour long.

              Lego Club Returns
              Wednesdays, the 7th & 21st - Children can create unique structures and build off of them.

              Game Tournaments return! 
              Wednesdays, the 14th & 28th – Children will rotate around the room playing their favorite board games.

              Friday, March 2nd – Painting Workshop
               
              The children will be given different mediums to choose whether it be paper or wood blocks etc. and different paints that coincide with the medium they chose. 
              They can then create colorful pictures or nameplates. 

              Friday, March 9th Imagination Workshop 
              Various materials will be out on tables (towel rolls, construction paper, glue, scissors, tissue paper, tape etc.) and the children can build and create anything
               in their imagination. They can paint it afterwards if they want to.

              Friday, March 16th – Pastel Workshop 
              The children will be given oil pastels and different kinds of paper to make creative pictures using their imagination.

               Friday, March 23rd – Friendship Bracelets
              The children will be able to choose yarn, string, hemp or gimp. They will then learn how to do a Chinese staircase. 
              Depending on skill level they can make a key chain or bracelets.

              Friday, March 30th – Sewing Sock Puppets comes back!
              Remember to bring your own sock. We’ll supply the rest!
